Mozart's La Finta Giardiniera, in a new English translation by John Warrack, will be performed by talented young singers in the early stages of their careers alongside the Orchestra of Age of Enlightenment’s Experience Ensemble, conducted by Eamonn Dougan.  Following its performances at the Ryedale Festival it tours to Perth Concert Hall.  Further performances at Lammermuir Festival (22nd September 2017) and at the Chiltern Arts Festival in (10th February 2018).

The Winter's Tale with The Hermes Experiment

Working with award-winning quartet The Hermes Experiment (harp, clarinet, soprano and double bass) in light of Shakespeare's 400th anniversary, director Nina Brazier and composer Kim Ashton have devised a new interpretation of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale during an Aldeburgh Music Residency, performed here as part of Tête à Tête: The Opera Festival.  Reducing the play to an hour's duration, the quartet of musicians become fully integrated into the drama alongside a group of five actors.  Shakespeare musically reimagined.

Ce spectacle littéraire et musical sur le thème du Bien, du Mal et de la Justice a été créé en 2014 au Southbank Centre à Londres.  Philippe Sands propose un nouveau regard sur les liens qui unissent trois hommes au coeur du procès de Nuremberg en 1945-1946, à travers leur passion commune pour la musique.  Cette exploration personnelle des origines de la justice moderne est rythmée par des images d’archives, des récits portés par les voix de Philippe Sands et de Valérie Bezançon, et enfin par les extraits musicaux de Bach, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Paul Misraki et Leonard Cohen interprétés par le baryton-basse Laurent Naouri et le pianiste Guillaume de Chassy.
